The Wave-Edge Board keeps the tree's own outline along one side: a natural, flowing edge with traces of bark left in place. Across the top, strong, swirling grain gives each board its own character. We don't smooth these details away. The marks, knots and irregularities that come with working wood by hand are part of what makes every piece one of a kind, so no two boards will look quite the same.
Each board is made by hand in our workshop in Sóller, using traditional techniques and a simple, modern shape. At 285 × 185 × 25 mm, it's wide enough for slicing a loaf of bread, laying out a selection of cheeses, or setting in the middle of the table for everyone to share. It's the kind of piece that brings to mind long, unhurried meals in the Sóller valley, and it's made to be used every day, not kept for best.
Looking after it is simple. Hand wash, dry it standing on an edge, and oil it now and then to keep the wood nourished. With a little care, it will last for years and only gain character with use. It also makes a meaningful gift for anyone who values handmade things.
